This past Sunday was a really special one for us. Our girls were dedicated at our home church, Calvary. It was such a great day and something I won't soon forget.
The girls before the service! Noelle insisted on the boots. :/
First off, as cheesy as it sounds (although it shouldn't) accepting God fully into my heart was the best thing that has happened to me. Allowing God to take over has helped me handle hardships better, love more freely, and have a more positive, meaningful, and forgiving outlook on life. It meant a lot to me to have the girls dedicated. (And it was extra special that they were able to be dedicated together.) It's a promise that Joey and I make for our daughters, to raise them with the Holy Spirit. There's nothing more that I want than for my girls to understand how to love, forgive, and be righteous.
Joey and I were SO impressed with our church, Calvary! They went far and above our expectations. First off, they held a little brunch for us and our guests -- it was so sweet! It was very personal, inviting, and generous of them! It definitely left a positive impression on our family. I already love Calvary so much, but this definitely sealed the deal for me. The time that Christy, the children's ministry director took out to make this day special for us, and also gifting our children with a new Bible and CD, meant so much to us.
It was super sweet how Calvary had tables set up for us with the girls' initials on them! It was so darling and considerate!
Noelle opening up one of the gifts from Calvary!
This was so nice of them! Christy said that this was the first time they've ever done a brunch beforehand, and we thought it went great!
Erin and Ava!
Grandma and Halle.
Gaotah and Annie came, which was so sweet!
They had the girls' pictures and life verses on a screen playing during the brunch, then had them again on the big screen during the dedication.
Our friends Hilary and Mike also had their little Adalie dedicated, so here's Noelle with her bestie Myla! It was really fun and sweet to share such a special day with them!
Here are the families getting dedicated, standing before the congregation. (The Joses, us, and another family.)
Joey recited Halle's life verse, and I did Noelle's. Halle fell asleep during worship right in the beginning of the service, and actually slept through the whole sermon (which was good, there's no way she would have made it through otherwise!) so she was a little groggy during the dedication. :)
Noelle thought she was pretty cool for being on stage. I think it helped that Myla was up there too, haha.
With Grandma Shel and Grandpa Joe after the service.
A sweet little necklace Noelle got. :) Halle got a bracelet, but we're pretty sure the girls will share, since Noelle said they were both hers. LOL
The bracelet from Auntie Susan that Noelle cannot stop wearing. She loves it! She calls it her "God bracelet."
Wearing her bracelet.
A sweet cross that the girls received, already hung up in their bedroom!
The CD Calvary gave the girls!
Halle's absolute favorite thing ever right now. She hugs it and carries it around, and even brings it to bed with her, lol. Thank you Calvary!!
God Bless Noelle and Halle!
What a very special day!
