Happy Half Birthday Halle!!

Little Belly is 6 Months today! Oh sweetums, how we love you!

You are definitely the apple in our eyes. You are the sweetest, happiest, little thing! Always smiling and easy going!

You have tried everything in terms of fruits and veggies, and you love them all. You've also tried quinoa, rice, oatmeal, and some soft crackers. You loved all those too. You are just our little piglet!!

Mama's proud to say that you are still exclusively breastfed, and we haven't had to supplement with any formula! This is great, because I wasn't sure if I would make it with all the pumping demands and experiencing D-MER. I'm so happy to see how healthy and happy you are on mama's milk!

You are starting to sleep decently too. Mama used to get up very often with you, about 3-4 times a night to nurse. We moved you out of our bedroom because we weren't getting much sleep and now you sleep better yourself away from us. We let you cry it out a little bit on your own because we just don't think you needed to nurse that often at your age, especially with the introduction of solids. You now sleep from about 9 pm - 2ish am, nurse, then sleep again until about 6 am. If I'm lucky I can nurse you at 6, and you return to sleep until about 8 or 8:30. Sometimes you are just awake and ready to go at 6, which hurts my soul, but hopefully it won't stay this way forever! (Mama and Noelle are NOT morning people!)

You are a creature of habit. You get feisty and fussy every day at 8:45 pm almost on the dot! If we are at home and smart about it, I'll usually have you getting ready for bed at 8, so the fussiness never even happens. However, especially with summer, there have been plenty of nights that we were still going into the evening (out to eat, playing outside, etc.) sure let us know how you felt about it. We always knew once you started fussing that it was 8:45 or close to it!

You love pretty much everything. Your temperament is so sweet and chill. You love to be held and cuddled. You'd rather be sitting up in someone's lap to see what's going on. You still want to be included in every single thing. You never want to miss a thing. You observe, observe, observe. You love to watch mom, dad, and especially Noelle. You like your excersaucer, your jumper, and your Bumbo! You like the Bumbo the most because it usually means that you can see everything, and/or it means your about to be fed!

You JUST started taking a pacifier! Hallelujah! I shouldn't be encouraging the use of a paci, but my goodness does it make life easier on mama and daddy! When you get fussy or get up at night, sticking that paci in your mouth can do wonders! You used to never take it, so every time you were fussy we just had to let you cry it out, or I had to nurse you to calm you down. Now that you use the paci, you are able to soothe yourself. YAY! (We will see how I feel about this a year from now when I can't tear the thing out of your mouth - I thought Noelle was going to go to college with hers.)

You also have an attachment to your Blue's Clues blanket. It's a really ugly blanket that we randomly got from a friend. Lol. It's not particularly soft, noticeably used, definitely not cute, and we don't even like Blue's Clues in this house...but it's the blanket that you love. It's a comfort item for you, and you seem to sleep much better with it. It's also a small blanket so I feel safe about you sleeping with it since it won't smother you or wrap around your head. I got you so many other, cuter, loveys (what we call these little wee blankies) but you prefer this ugly one. Lol. That's okay. Whatever your heart desires.

You are just so special to us. We love you so deeply Halle! Happy 6 Months Darling!!

Week In Review

The Wagner house was under quarantine for most of the week because we were STILL sick from the following week! While Halle and Noelle were on the recovery end, Joey still had on and off migraines, and I came down with the sinus infection, which turned into bronchitis. It was a rough week. (Especially since I still went into training for a new additional work position, which I will talk about soon, AND we are - drumroll- moving, something else I will talk about soon!)

With our friends, Willow, Dawn, Allie, and Charlie.

The week was full of the same - preschool, dance, Target runs. On Saturday we celebrated our friend Gavin's 3rd Birthday at the Monkey House in Maplewood. Noelle has been there twice before, not really liking it either time. I figured she was older now and would maybe try out the inflatables, but I was wrong. She still doesn't like it, lol. However, she had tons of fun with her friends, ate a whole slice of pizza (this is a big deal for her haha), had cake, and beamed from ear to ear when we sang Happy Birthday to Gavin! She LOVES birthdays, and she was super excited to give Gavin his gift. (A car transporter that she stared at and talked about giving to Gavin all week.)

While she doesn't care for the inflatables, she LOVED the noodle pit. (What happened to the foam blocks? lol)

Gavin and Noelle!

Conga line? Hehe.

It was a really great time! Noelle told me it was her favorite part of her day, which is big, considering we also went to Toys R Us that day. ;) Haha.

New back pack and lunch bag!

With her new bestie, Share Bear.

We moved throughout the store and sampled a bit of everything...with Share Bear.

On Sunday we had family pictures and because I am the lamest person ever (I don't know how to braid), I took Noelle to Kids Hair to get her hair done. Noelle was super into it though, and kept on saying she was getting "Anna hair" (from Frozen). It was so, so cute. She loves being pampered. Getting her hair done, and her nails done, are right up her alley and she behaves SO well and sits SO still. Pretty impressed with her patience for only (almost) 3 years old!

Getting curls!

After Kid Hair, she and I did a little Marshalls browsing. Sunday ritual.

Just a cute picture from the week. I love this outfit. (We got the collection from Gap last year. Comes with a cheetah print skirt as well as three more matching tops. Adorbs.)

Not a super clear picture since it was on my cell, but I love it because it's daddy with his girls!

Still loving every bit of preschool!

Trader Joe's with mama.

The girls at dance with Grandpa Joe and Grandma Shel!

One of my favorite leotards!

Next week will hopefully bring health back into our lives, and maybe we will get out and do more fun things! Looking forward to hitting up some apple orchards and pumpkin patches as fall is now underway!

MN Tot Spots; The Renaissance Festival

I'm not writing a normal "Week In Review" this week because it just was not as eventful as past weeks...mainly because we were all sick! The Wagner clan all came down with the cold! Nolle came home with it first, and quickly the rest of us got the sniffles, sneezes, and coughs. We spent most of the week indoors coloring, napping, and watching Tinkerbell movies.

Sunday was a blast though. Noelle and I still had our colds but we were definitely feeling better. We were lucky enough to get free tickets to go to the Renaissance Festival, so we headed out to Shakopee for the day to have a daughter/mama date while daddy and Halle stayed home. I have never been to the Festival before so I was pretty excited. Noelle was too. I had informed her there would be princesses, princes, knights, mermaids, and fairies so she was pumped!

Noelle and I left our house at 10 am and it took nearly 45 minutes to get to the Festival...for future reference we will definitely be coming earlier! Parking was a zoo, and we were nearly parked 2 miles away! Also for future reference? Take the shuttle bus! (We hiked up that looong hill. Noelle called it a mountain, I didn't correct her.) Upon arrival Noelle and I were mesmerized instantly! It looked like we literally stepped back in time! Noelle kept referring it to "Rapunzel's Kingdom." I went with it, because it did look like Rapunzel's Kingdom, lol. We met our friends Jessie and Zoe there too. Both girls dressed as their favorite princesses (Noelle as Anna, Zoe has Rapunzel)- it was adorable.

The first thing we had to experience was right near the entrance; Mermaid's Cove. Noelle and I were so excited! Head's up though, the wait was rather lengthy! We waited probably 10-15 minutes to get into the Cove, but it was worth it. They had a few mermaids hanging out in the cove, an done swimming in a tank. There was also a pirate in there too, keeping the mermaids hostage ;)

Princess Anna waiting in line.

Noelle was so taken aback by seeing the mermaids that she froze! She didn't stop talking about them all day after that though. She wanted to go back towards the end of the day but the line was way too long then!

Zoe was braver than Noelle and went up to the mermaids to ask them questions, and also to touch them, lol. The girls thought they were in Disneyland.

Noelle was into spying on the pirates next door who were singing and dancing a jig in the bar.

This mermaid at the end gave each girl a little treasure from her chest to bring home - Noelle got a sparkly green gem to add to her jewels at home. :) Noelle thought it was amazing.

What does the fox say? This lady fox didn't say anything but she did give the girls a cute little paw print stamp on the hand.

Snow White's wishing well!

We loved the Renaissance! It was so cute. I loved how it was like we stepped into a fairy tale! They had lots of shows all over the place for free - fire jugglers, belly dancing, etc. There was so much good food dumplings, popovers, cinnamon rolls, turkey legs, garlic fries, yummy chicken wild rice soup in bread bowls, lots of beer and wine, and lots of chocolate! There was more, but those were my favorite things! (In the picture above you can see Zoe and Jessie making their way through the crowd to get a turkey leg!)

 Robin Hood's forest!

 Our favorite place. :)

This fairy sprinkled fairy dust on Noelle! Magical! :)

Zoe asking the fairies all sorts of questions!

Noelle outside of the Fairy Wing Forest, looking for Tinkerbell's house.

Zoe making the "Mechanical Man" move. I'm not going to lie, this was scary. lol

My cautious little girl, watching from a safe distance.

If you ask Noelle, she will tell you the Butterfly ride was her FAVORITE thing from the whole day! Awesome for a girl who never likes rides!

This ride, like all the rides there, are not run on electricity but by people. In the middle of this ride are two people physically pushing the swings in a circle! So neat!

Enjoying some ice cream!

Jessie and Zoe!

They had an awesome Kid's Corner, which was filled with stuff for little ones. Here, Noelle is getting a wand made by this nice Sir. They had ballon animals, the free wand making, free pirate hats, coloring, stickers, and so on.

She loved her pink kitty balloon! The talented balloon man could make anything - unicorns, puppies, butterflies, swans, turtles, etc. Noelle asked for "Hello Kitty," in pink of course.

This random, huge, turtle was pretty cool. Haha.

Strolling through the village. ;)

They had elephant, pony, camel, and llama rides! It was fairly cheap too.

Noelle and I paid for her to go on a pony but at last minute she freaked out. That's okay! Next year! :)

 Petting zoo!

For an end of the day treat Noelle and I split a huge Oreo cupcake from the bakery! :) Didn't know they had those back in the day? Hehe.

 The wishing pond.

What an awesome day. Noelle and I had SO much fun. It was seriously a day fit for a princess. We cannot wait to go again next year!!
