MN Tot Spots: Aamodt's Apple Orchard & Country Sun Farm

Last week Gaotah and I took the kids on a day trip to Stillwater for some apple and pumpkin fun! First we checked out Aamodt's Apple Orchard. I had been there before long before Noelle entered the picture and it was way different as an adult coming to enjoy the vineyard...As a parent with toddlers it was definitely different! They are pretty kid friendly with hay rides, a small hay maze, little playgrounds, a (kid) tractor area and some farm animals. Amery liked it. Evan was so-so. Noelle was not impressed.

Gaotah and Evan!

Entering the hay maze!

The most fun these two had was in the apple store, where they got apple suckers and caramel apples!

After what I considered an uneventful and unsuccessful trip, we took the kids to Country Sun Farm. Wow. What a hit!! The kids had SO much fun here! First off, the petting zoo is awesome. Aamodt had about 4 goats and that was the extent of the "zoo." Country Sun Farm had calfs, goats, sheep, chickens, a giant turkey, and ducks. Also the kids could feed the animals, which was super fun for them. The kids also had a blast in the store where there were pumpkins, gourds, a corn pit, and treats. We have to come back on a weekend though, as the corn pit, hay rides, and face painting are only open on weekends! It's worth coming back though! The place was awesome. The kids and I actually went back this Monday just to see the animals and pick out little pumpkins! (Super cheap - $2/small pumpkin.)

Noelle, trying to reach the hole!
