Back to the 50's & The Arcades! 2013

We made it back out again to the fair grounds this year for the Back to the 50's car show! Last year was Noelle's first time, and she was so young that she didn't really know what was going on. She had her first ice cream cone and mini donut last year and that's where the excitement ended. This year she had an awesome time! Especially since her Grandpa Joe's band, The Arcades played a show at the Bandstand! Noelle was in awe of seeing grandpa up on the stage and she kept on pointing at him asking "Bompa? Bompa?" It was great. We enjoyed walking around, eating fair food, car watching and drinking some beers (me and Joey, not Noelle)! It's always a good time at Back to the 50's!

MN Tot Spots; Maple Maze

Indoor playgrounds are always a hit with the kids - any kids. Maple Maze is one of my favorites! I've been taking kids here since I started nannying 8 years ago! It's one of the nicer, cleaner, bigger ones, with a really large toddler area. Since I've been there last, they have noticeably made the toddler area larger which is really nice! If you come on Wednesdays, prices are lowered!

MN Tot Spots; Wild Wednesdays @ Maple Grove Community Center

Who knew that Community Centers did nice little deal days? I didn't. We just so happened to try the Maple Grove Community Center one day because after looking online, I thought it was one of the best outdoor pools around for little ones. What a surprise it was when we got there and found out we had come on Wild Wednesday! On Wednesdays they lower their costs from $7 to $5 per person (or $19 total for a family - 2 adults and all children)! The kids had a blast, although, it wasn't as sunny as I had anticipated! I didn't get to work on my tan like I wanted, but the kids sure had fun!

Where should we go first?

Gracie came to help me that day! Here she is playing with Mr. Amery!

We are definitely coming back and hoping for sunnier weather next time!

Tots Get Crafty; Father's Day Gifts!

For Father's Day this year I decided to get a little crafty and had the kids making some fabulous gifts for their dads! We made these ADORABLE shirts that the dads wore all weekend! They captured a lot of people's attention and lots of compliments! We also tried to capture some cute pictures of the kids holding up signs for their dads (and grandpas) that I could frame. The boys did great but Noelle was a tad bit harder. We did manage to get her to smile for a couple shots. Results below!

Joey's shirt, from Noelle!

This was my attempt to getting a set of photos from Noelle holding the signs:

This was a tad easier and came out better:

Here is what we got from the boys! So cute!

Cute, cute, cute!
